Country Western Music - Only the Best
Country Western Music
Information
Everyone has their tastes. We start forming likes and dislikes from a very early age. A lot of our opinions are formed based on our own experiences and others we form based on what we perceive from the people close to. Kids readily pick up what the grown up around them are saying. This is the reason why most family members belong to the same political party and observe the same religion; it is what they grew up with. A great deal of what we value comes from what we were exposed to as children. At times we discover that we modify our opinion on something which we have experienced for ourselves because the opinion was based on what we were educated instead of from our own experience. In the family I grew up in, my father liked to have things quiet. He worked very hard at his job running a ranch so when he relaxed for the nightfall he did not like a great deal of noise or activity going on in the house. We could have the television on low or he would put on albums of classical music. It was the only music he would permit. If we had the radio on and country western music or rock and roll would come on, he would ask us to turn it off. He did not comprehend rock and roll and he thought countrywesternmusic was hockey.
Country Western Music Tips
I was exposed to rock and roll through my acquaintances, radio and dances and like it. I did not listen to country western music at all. I held my father's opinion of it. Then I began dating a young man in college that listened to countrywesternmusic all the time. He liked the beat of the music and the tales that most of the lyrics told. I really liked that guy so when we began going out I put up with the music and tuned it out. We then went to a large outdoor concert where performed many of the hottest country western singers. From that point on I was captivated. I realized that I also appreciated the stories the songs told and the music was amusing to dance to. At the outdoor concert event met several of my boyfriend's acquaintances. They showed me how to line dance to some of the songs. After college I moved to another state and so I lost touch with my boyfriend. Finally I married my current husband and we are raising our kids. I still listen to all sorts of music, but each time I hear country western music I look back to that outdoor show and how I started to like it. I try to let my children experience many different things when they grow up and try not to influence their opinions.
