Some perform too often, and the demand goes down. This causes them to go to smaller towns and venues, which can be a bonus for fans who don’t like to travel to see shows.

Though not everything will be of interest, you can find out about tours this way. You can also keep an eye on your favorite performers website. Quite often the news of a tour will come from that source before it can be found anywhere else.
